Project Overview
Child's Diwali is a personalised children’s book I worked on with the wonderful team at BookMyTale.
It was a true group project!

The book lets families turn Diwali into their Diwali. You can customise how the child and parents look, change everyone’s names, pick the child’s favourite sweet, choose the family’s go-to festive activities, and even set the story in the city they belong to. The result is a book that feels personal, playful, and one of a kind, just like the families who create it.

For this project, I used MidJourney to generate certain background elements and decorative assets (e.g., festive settings, props, etc).
However, all characters and their expressions were fully illustrated by me, not AI. AI visuals were selected, edited, repainted, and stylised to match the hand-drawn look. The entire visual direction, style consistency, and storytelling flow were artist-led.
